A few words from Joanne Rodgers . .

Dear Los Gatos High School Parents, Alumni and Community,

In 2001 a group of parents, teachers, coaches, administrators, alumni and community members came together to form a non-profit foundation with the purpose of raising funds for Los Gatos High School. These funds have made it possible for the school to purchase equipment and make capital improvements that would not otherwise be available to the school. Through a Grant Review Committee, teachers can submit requests for specific classroom needs. Once a year these requests are reviewed, considered and funded according to our funding ability that year.

To date we have given back to the high school nearly $2 million and this is thanks to generous donations, corporate matching funds, sponsorships of our auction and the hard work and dedication of many volunteers.

Some of the accomplishments of the LGHS New Millennium Foundation over the last five years include the following:

  • Raised and gave back to the school nearly $2 million
  • Fulfilled grants requested from 55 teachers
  • 18 different departments have received grant money
  • Held five successful and lively fundraising auctions
  • Established the Susan "Betty" McClendon Endowment Fund
  • Set aside $37,000 in the Endowment Fund with a goal of $1million
  • Assisted the Theatre/Auditorium Improvement Project (TIP)

in funding Phase I and II of a four-phase $3 million project

  • Maintained a strong supportive Board of Directors
  • Worked with the LGHS administrators
  • Coordinated 5 All Alumni Weekends with the Alumni Association
  • Established non-profit 501c3 status

If you are looking for a way to give back or get involved with our award winning high school, the LGHS New Millennium Foundation would welcome your donation of money, time and expertise.

Assisting our dedicated and talented teachers do an outstanding job of educating future generations is the priority of LGHS New Millennium Foundation. Please join us by sending a check or credit card information
